Description This is Thorn, Murtagh's dragon in the inheritance cycle. Like Saphira, I plan on coloring this. I've made some subtle changes to thorn so he and Saphira can be told apart (Aside from color)

Thorn, being younger than Saphira but nearing her size is bulkier than her, has shorter horns, has sharper spikes (because he is younger) and more of them with an added nose spike and a something of a goatee on his chin. Lastly but not as noticeable is that he has one row of spikes instead of two like Saphira. I did that because Iā€™d like there to be other obvious ways to tell male and female dragons apart.

Sadly, until I get internet connection back and running in my apartment, there will be no colored updates of this picture or of Saphira.

wow he looks beautiful. I understand the feeling of scale work and adding so much detail that it nearly keels you x_______x
Thorn looks absolutely amazing I love the style you've done Thorn in with the large horns and the thick neck. This would be very handy for warding off strong attackers, like swords and teeth, since dragon hides are strong as steel
Stunning once again. How do you plan on colouring him?

Thank you so much!

I'm intending to color him Via Gimp, like I am with Saphira, only I'm also going to attempt to make a video clip of how much time and effort it took me to do it.

The horns are a bit big, but I can still see him with longhorns like that.
I love his position. He actually has some expression, as opposed to the emotionless dragons on the book covers.
I greatly appreciate the care and effort put into his scales. They're larger in the right spaces and smallish in the right places.
His other horns, besides the ones aforementioned, are perfectly placed and sharpened.
The only other complaint I have is his eyes. I think you should have made them more catlike and less cartoonish, so that the pupils were slits and not circles. The borders of the eyes should have been more defined on the right and left edges and less on the the top and bottom.
Otherwise, this is magnificent!

Thank you, I'll likely color this later after I finish coloring Saphira.
