I'm pretty unhappy with this. ;_; This was my attempt to not care - i started caring more as it went on, but...If i care too much i obsess about the lines; if i care too little, it looks horrid. I'm still searching for that medium which balances workable time input with decent quality.

You shouldn't be unhappy with this. You got your range of motion down, something Im horribly bad at + the clothes. Say what type of tablet are you using? Is it hard keep your lines solid?

Well its always hard for me to draw simple curves. I feel its the pen but sometimes my tablet gets unresponsive at times. Probably because the old thing was stuffed in a drawer for years before it finally got some use. Just wondering if yours is good cause I may need to look into getting a new model.
