So I recently did a first-time playthrough of Half Life 2 over on my twitch channel. I had known about Half Life before that but I had never once played the game or otherwise experienced it in full.

Long story short, I loved it. I loved the story, the characters, the alien designs, all of it. I don't know what Valve is planning after the ending of Half Life Alyx, if they're planning anything at all, but I will welcome any more games in the Half Life universe with open, enthusiastic arms.

I highkey fell in love with the headcrabs in the game and had to draw them. To quote what I said to a friend during one of my streams, headcrabs are basically "if potatoes had the capacity for murder". They're just little angry murder potatoes and I want 20 of them.

Lamarr is also baby and unironically one of my favorite characters in the game. I like to imagine she's the only one who can actually startle Dog if she catches him off guard. She is not afraid of this metal giant in the slightest and will attempt to square up with him mono-a-mono, much to Dog's confusion.

I was also playing around with a different method of shading in these doodles where I use the lasso tool to quickly draw out where I want the shadows to go and filling it in. I feel like it saved me a good chunk of time and I want to play around with it some more to see if I can become more efficient at it.
