Crackling concrete. The groaning and crashing of collapsing buildings. Wind-whipped rain barely damps down the dust and smoke.Perched high above the fruits of his labour, massive wings shadow the ground. A wicked, grating hiss echoes far and wide, and his cruel eye gleams through the darkness.
The Cunning God of Death stakes his claim on yet another planet.

Ridley is by far my favourite video game villain. I aimed to make this design grossly organic, with muscle fibre detail and prominent veins. I also imagine him as being utterly monstrous in size β such that a human could barely reach partway up his shin.
And yet, thereβs always one who will stand in his way.

Yeah. I have my own headcanon where the Federation killed off most of his race, which is why he opposes them.

Not sure about giving Ridley any justification for his opposition against the Federation. I like the idea that he had no freudian excuse, and just kills for fun. Like any attempts to understand his motives is like staring into the abyss. Β It's futile and might get even you killed.
