Description
The best place I could think to bury the baby squirrel was one of the gardenia bushes outside. Although not in bloom for now, it's a nice thought that whenever the bushes come into bloom, the flowers may fall on his tiny grave... Picking him up to place him in the little box was a tearful moment for me... I couldn't (and still can't) get over how little he was... So young and with such a long life ahead of him, only to be whisked away by heaven's call... I sincerely hope he has a most wonderful afterlife in heaven... I'm sure he will be looked after by other squirrels in heaven... I can remember when yesterday he ate some sweet potato, and thus earned his name, Tater... Such a short time with him, but filled with such sweetness. I get attached to babies so easily, it's heartbreaking when you know you have to let them go...

Another heartbreaking tbought is that his real mother must be crying for him... Like how he must have been crying for her during his last day... I so badly wish I could have known where he had come from... I would have tried to reunite them...

Until we meet again, little Tater... Say hello to all my other animal friends up there for me... I will miss you...
