Description
NKP765 on a deadhead run between Cleveland, Ohio and Altoona, PA roars by the now gone Hudson, Ohio depot. The depot was torn down a few weeks ago. This shot was seconds away from getting cloud screwed as there was a huge cloud right next to the sun.Oh, this is my 1,111 deviation on DA!

I have photographed over 4000 depots in the US (and 500+ in Canada) in the past 30+ years, and probably 200 or so are now gone.

This is such a great shot, that is also a bit sad, as wellย (I always wonder what places like this were like, in their heyday, as well as what kinds of people used to look out the windows of old buildings like that....)

But it didn't get clowd-screwed - the opposite happened! The clowd's shadow in the back gives this picture together with that scene some special touch
