It was actually an earthquake - he fell down the chasm during it and it closed up after... but he'll take out his anger on anyone foolish enough to go treasure seeking down there...

Yeah, I draw it in 5 lead mechanical pencil, add a few details maybe a little shading, then I pen it over, erase the pencil and shade and color it whith my pen and color pencils. Where would you say I could find some good art supplies to invest in?

Depends a bit on what country you're in (I'm in the UK). Online would be the best place to go - I find dickblick.com great value and they always have what I'm looking for - even though I have to pay for shipping from the US with the exchange rate it still works out pretty cheap for me. Ebay's always good too.
Or just go through your phone listings for a local art supplies shop - they all stock the main brand stuff like Faber Castel so even if it's a small shop you can at least get basic good supplies.
