Description
This is a locket I made a few days ago
. The lid is hand formed fine silver and the rest is soldered sterling silver sheet, tubes etc. It's a custom order based on one of my old desings. Stones are chrome diopside and two yellow sapphires. I hate making hinges, but this time I'm quite happy about the outcome .The locket is 3,9 cm long.

So stunning! Your sculpting techniques in artclay are amazing! Is the back also made from artclay? Because I remember being told it's very hard to high polish it because the structure of the metal is so open.

Only the lid is art clay silver. The rest is traditional sterling silver sheet and tubing. But it is totally possible to give metal clay a high polish finish.

Sorry, didn't read the description correctly XD And yes, I hate making hinges too, though it becomes easier when you use titanium to align them, titanium won't solder stuck to anything.
