Both are men who inhabit a more or less crappsacchrine world of fiction of a in-universe series(Blitz from Code Babylon being a cyberpunk world where mad scientists and such are creating cyborgs; Slater is from a the Jack Slater series in which action movie tropes are the norm, but also slashers, hitmen, and even various cameos or cartoon oddities are running around, and no old or ugly women or even classical music exist per say)

Despite their professions(Blitz is former bounty hunter; Slater is a cop) but have more or less humble goals or just want a normal life(Blitz wants to go home and pay rent; Slater just wants to be a cop and have a normal family)

Upon entering the real world, both don't take too well that they're fictional or that said being fictional lead to a child of theirs getting killed indirectly or directly(Blitz had to off his own cyborg daughter and was pissed at his creator, Shunma for it, and still was even reviving his daughter; Slater is depressed at how the producers could throw his son off a building in Jack Slater 3 being more darker than Jack Slater 4, and calls out his actor Arnold for pawning off his own pain and suffering)

Both would return to their universes at the end of their stories per say and are aware of their status(Blitz still hates Shunma's guts; Slater being more cheerful and self-aware even in the movies)

Both mainly used guns with a hint of movie/anime logic(Blitz has anti-magic bullets and gravity levitation; Slater has action movie logic that lets other stuff explode and such)

Both series had to involve a horror like character(Ripper for Slater; Magane for Re:Creators) and a villain who wants to destroy the real world(Benedict for Slater; Altair for Blitz and other Re:Creators)

Also both of their last names almost sound similar when you put them together (Talker to Slater) in some sense I guess.
