Edit: Okay, uh, kind of made it transparent but left a border (I did try to erase around her hair but... blegh.)Honest opinion, guys, is it better like this, or just left with a white bg?
P.S.; new title that's been up for a while (just in case you saw it when it first popped into your inboxes, XD) I like it much better. I wish I had thought of it ahead of tiiime~
Just because I feel I haven't coloured for a while, I finished one of those sketches that I posted earlier, yup.
She'll be my monster girl of the month for June, I think. Since I can't imagine designing any more with the time I have currently. XD
I'm thinking her name is Flossie. Because, how those highlights scanned (read: very boldly) made me think of candy. And that led to candy floss. Which isn't shiny but... yeah.
White background because... that hair! I really don't want to have to deal with that right now, transparency always kills the hair I draw unless I invest more time in hand erasing it than I did drawing, inking and colouring it.

Why, that would be Vampyroteuthis Infernalis, the vampire squid. Named after it's cloak and fang like hooks protruding from where it's suckers would be. Once believed to be an octopus, until biologists discovered it's tentacles had actually become small filaments tucked away in pouches. I remember reading about a diver who was ambushed by 3 of these things which were actually strong enough to drag him a good distance, rest assured he was terrified.

gorgeous, I love the coloring, the blue with all those dominate reds/yellows/oranges is very eye pleasing.
I love the shine on her lips *almost thought they were teeth* but with her red skin those lips look so lush and full.
the linework with the colors to show her shine, the sleek look of her skin is a beautiful effect. Very lovely

Thank you very much! I did end up using all of the primaries in this one, haha, but I thought it would end up looking alright with yellow/orange for the membranes, with my favourite combo for the body and markings.
She does have fangs pointing out in the corners of her mouth, there, but I hope they look more clear in fullview. xD I may try to fix that tomorrow when I've got the fresh eyes to do so.
