Description Related to my last deviation, here: [link]

The reason I love rats, is despite their small size, and short lives, they are wonderful companions. My ratties are very dog-like, most my rats have even known their own names, and come when called.

I really like these pictures, with your daughter holding the rats. it's really cute. you daughter is the pretty sort of girl who most people would see and expect to hate rats. it's extra cute how innocent and loving she looks in all the pictures with rats. it's obvious how dog-like your rats are by your daughter's face. (not the scab, that's clearly just kids being kids) the look she gives the rat is the sort of look one expects to see a girl that age giving a good dog.

the really nice thing about this is that she's so young and likes rats so much. more people need to meet pet rats when they're this young. if every child got to meet rats around this age, there would be no one who was scared of pet rats.

I simply had to fav this! I'm getting a tattoo of my first two rats curled up together with the words "Much from little" in Latin and the title and love in this photo made me think of my future tattoo

I can not wait to see the tat! Whenever I grow balls (I'm *terrified* of needles!), I want a set of rattie footprints on my shoulder, like a little rat sitting up there. It will be in dedication to all the rats I love, and have loved.

Now, that tat has been planned for at least 9 years... still not done It'd be a really nice, simple first tattoo design though, just 4 rattie-sized feet prints in my shoulder, like a rodent sitting there.

It sounds lovely to me! Seriously though, I hate needles too but the tattoo gun doesn't look like a needle at all and I was fine with it

Beautiful picture! Almost all my rats seem to know their names, apart from the two new boys who are still learning. I agree that they are very dog-like!

Thank you so much! I call rats "the best kept secret in pets". They truly are!

I know! Isn't that something else! It started out as a scrape from hitting her face outside, and she keeps messing with the scab making it BIGGER... her fathers child!

I'm about to put an elizabethan collar on her, like I would a dog... that'll keep her from messing with it!

Recently I completely wrapped Juni's lower leg in a bandage to keep him from scratching mosquito bites until they were bloody!

You can't exactly do that to a nose though- Haha! Now THAT'S an image!

*giggle* Worse thing is, she messes with it like, when she goes to the bathroom, or other times she knows we can't stop it. We correct her if we SEE her do it, but she sneaks away, and does it.

Sooooo much like her Daddy this little girl is! Scab picking, deviant snot!
