One of my favorite things about rats, is they are kissy, and affectionate, but don't slobber. There is no way to have a bad day if you spend any part of it with kissy rats, esp not soft, fuzzy, kissy, popcorning babies!These are kiddos out of Blossums litter, except the black baby kissing my lips is the downunder she 'adopted'.

Cute! There was a young dumbo rat at my work who would always come to the door of his cage to explore when I would change his food and water. He was such a fearless sweetie and he would always let me rub behind his ears.

I love rattie kisses! It makes your day less gloomy :] Awwwe I love baby rats too. We've got a batch right now thats almost 5 weeks old. Its a great age too because of how lovey dovey and playful they are.

Aww! I tried owning mice, but they are just not as sweet as rats, so I didn't "replace" my mice as they passed on. I've had ratties over 2 years, and can't imagine life without them!

Rats, and mice are actually a totally differnt species! Rats will EAT mice, and they can not interbreed at all.

Yup! They aren't like say, Tigers and Lions, or Horses and Donkeys where they can interbreed. Rats and Mice are so differnt, their chromosomes don't line up, so they can never reproduce, even if a successful mating were to ever occur (Which is highly unlikely)
