I'm super proud of this one! This is my first small paid commission and finished in under a week and she is so alive!!!!
This one was a birthday gift to honour a lost furry companion Always sad doing pets who have crossed over the rainbow bridge, but it makes me happy that I can create something for their owners to honour their memories. (Oh! Exciting news I now have a tagline! "Painting the Animals Who Leave Their Prints All Over Your HEART."

I was given free-range with the background and I had great delight in experimenting with the masking fluid (OMG! Why didn't I get some of this stuff earlier?!?) salt water and watercolours! It was a great challenge trying not to let the blue and yellow merge and turn green, but I did it!!!

Sorry I haven't been very active on dA lately I have had an insanely busy year and just haven't had the time to spare, but I miss all you guys and your amazing art and I will be a bit more regular real soon I promise!

Something really exciting that I want to share with you guys is that in the last 3 months I have been experiencing a major shift in my art and style!! I'm starting to let go of my perfectionism around my art and inviting flow and freedom into it and it has felt AMAZING!! For a long time I have been my own worst enemy and all the brain noise has just been a war zone of self criticism, finally (with the help of an amazing creative business coach and meditation) I have been able to get out of my head and that dangerous place for an artist of comparison and never feeling good enough and stepping in to my own power as an artist! I'm terribly excited to face 2019 with all the new stuff that I have learned this year.
