Yeah, it kinda reminds me of the raptors in the last Jurassic Park movie. Thank you!

Thank you! Yeah, it really does depend on where you live. I live in Montana and spend a lot of time in the mountains. Even at that, I generally only see them once a year or so. Usually I just hear them, which if it's unexpected can scare the daylights out of me!

lol. I only ever saw them back in Pennsylvania when I used to live there, but I never see them in New York.

LOL! We have them all over around here. I see them all the time. I will be out hiking or something and because they're so camoflauge I won't even see them, and then when I get right up next to them, it frightens them and they will fly away with a really loud whooping sound. I tell you, when that happens, it practically scares me to DEATH! I think like a giant monster or something is jumping at me out of the bushes.

Wow, peacocks!! Yeah that would be awesome to have birds like that around here!!!
We have a lot of boring birds here. Mostly stuff like grouse, quail and pheasants. And then of course there are crows, seagulls, ducks and the like. We also have wild turkeys. We do have Osprey, but not a lot in this area. You have to go a few miles West to really get into their habitat. Plus we have hawks and bald eagles, but you don't see them as often. Same thing with the great blue herons. As far as colorful birds go, we get a few bluejays and bluebirds every now and then. Haha, low flying parrots? I still think grouse are the worst! One of them almost managed to scare the life out of our dog once. My dad was out picking wild berries, and he had the dog with him, and the dog went uphill into the brush, and a grouse came flying out of the bushes making it's loud whooping sounds, and the dog came running back down the hill with his eyes popping out of his head. He sure thought something was gonna get him!
