Alternate title: "Nice-Hair Moon" (Say Nightmare Moon and then say Nice-Hair Moon really quickly).This image may still see some slight alterations with lighting and details. I'm want to revisit it after staying away from it for a bit.

She looks so beautiful. That mane, starting like regular and smoothly changes to swirly, magic filled nebula. I live when it is drawn like that and you have shown who does it the best.
Shading is perfect, it gives the full depth of features and establishes the light point. Rarely it is done so expertly, with such attention to the details, like wing shadow on her neck.
Armour is superb, I am always struggling with it and you have executed it marvelously with engravings and reflections underlining this combat design. I love how the separate parts meet, how their thickness can be seen and how its design in general shows that there is no messing with the one that wears it. Horseshoes and helmet kept in that style only add to its beauty.
I like how the wings fold, I like the pose and expression, but I am lost in those eyes of her. The are so beautiful, so deep and thoughtful, I could stare into them until I am completely consumed by the darkness.
The background colour is chosen very wisely, it gives a good contrast that exposes the dark nature of Nightmare Moon, those strokes keep it from being flat, give it some depth.

I have to say, I've seen *alot* of art in my time but this has to be one of my top 3 ever Nightmoon Pictures. The expression, shading and just general look of this is BEYOND WORDS AWESOMES!~

I just realized somthing, See moon's hair? it looks kinda like season 2 luna hair, People freaked out about luna's s2 hair. i think i know why her hair looked like that, Well s2 luna had the dark blue magic just like nm (nightmare moon) but s2 luna had a magical aura round it, when she turned back to luna in the 2nd ep. her power was drained, while healing her blue hair would start to come back, if you remeber the blue magic caused the manticore and shadowbolts to appear, they maybe had to but a speel on luna's hair so it would not get chaotic. CASE CLOSED
