The latest TombRaider games are pretty cool, but they need to bring back one major element; SHORTS!Or at least a wetsuit or catsuit.
This is a %25 scale version. There are alternate versions with just dirt (no drips), just water, or neither dirt nor water.

Sadly with the PC crowd all over Tomb Raide it won't happen. They took one of the biggest sex symbols in gaming, which was also a good character and they totally stripped who she is. In order to feel more human.

Yeah, I think Lara croft is supposed to be more of an avatar than a character.
When you play the game you want to step into the shoes of a cool, confident, classy killing machine.

I never realy cared about Lara's past, that's not important.

Tipper Gore was the Then-Wife of Al Gore (The "Global Warming" guy).
One day, she saw her daughter playing a Prince record (I think the song was "Darling Nikky"), which made Tipper go apeshit. From there, she started a crusade to ban all music she deems SEXUALLY OFFENSIVE. She started the PMRC, a conglomerate of wives of both Democrat and Republican politicians, in her fight to keep all music SAFE and INOFFENSIVE. They also forced record labels to put PARENTAL ADVISORY stickers on music they deem OFFENSIVE.
However, in all her attempts to censor music, all her efforts on succeed in making the artists she targeted even MORE POPULAR. All the music she tried to bury wound up becoming the norm! Those PARENTAL ADVISORY sticers that warned people of how OFFENSIVE the music is wound up becoming BUY ME stickers!

What I really miss isn't just the shorts, but the original design where she is clearly wearing a high-cut leotard/swimsuit underneath. It was pretty much perfect in the 4th game where she would show her exposed hips and just a hint of a thong cut in the back.

Tomb raider 2015 on the pc should have mods so it should have the shorts outfit. A mod for the xbox 360 tomb raider 2013 did.

Yeah, I've seen a couple of those mods.. Sadly, to me, they always look kinda..well, fake. You can tell someone has basically just pasted a new texture on top of the existing character model; unfortunately, it tends to stick out like a sore thumb...
Don't get me wrong, I'm all for Crystal Dynamics reinventing the character & breathing new life into the (ailing) franchise.. I just hope that, come the next game, the developers finally start to bring Lara back to her roots slightly.. Nice as the new games are, part of me really misses all the crazy acrobatics & OTT gunplay. And - most importantly - the SHORTS!

I'm pretty sure I'm in the minority when I say that the new Lara look just doesn't do much for me. Needless to say I'm pretty happy there is still such quality work of the original still being done

I'm pretty sure you're not in the minority. I bet as well as the new Tomb Raider games did, they would have done even better if they'd kept Lara's classic look. Fortunately there are still games being made with that look. Unfortunately, they're Diablo-style where she's too tiny to really appreciate.
