Although it can be argued that the true lion in winter was Eleanor of Aquitaine (Katherine Hepburn). But seriously folks, Peter O' Toole gave quite the tremendous performance in The Lion in Winter as King Henry II. He stood his own against Katherine Hepburn--no easy feat.
