Description
My robot archer character that I started during last night's Pen and Stylus Random Character Challenge stream. I didn't finish him during the stream, but I took a bit of time today to finish him up and share him with all of youMy theme was "Terrified Robot Archer." I don't know if I got the terrified part down, but I think I got the robot and archer parts down.
Illustration was done in Manga Studio using the oil painting brushes. It's my first time using them, but I think I like them.

Awesome! Yeah, you can get to the random character generator by clicking here . Then just submit the result to the Pen and Stylus character challenge gallery. It's a great exercise (in my opinion). We're hoping to put together some other random generators soon so we can do stuff like creatures, locations, landscapes, etc.

thank you!!! you know you might want to try changing up the rules a bit...maybe you guys generate something and everyone in the group has to come up with THEIR interpretation. It might get you more followers since there would be more a sense of unity you know. It would be way cool to see everyone's approach to the same prompt to learn how to improve your own style you know? Just a thought...maybe you could do that as a special event once or month or something if nothing else.

Oh don't worry - that's a superb suggestion and actually something we've been discussing ourselves. We're going to be coming up with a lot of other challenges in the future, including a "round-robin OC" challenge where we each draw an OC owned by another artist. I'll make sure to let the other streamers know - and feel free to submit any suggestions to the group itself - we're always open to new ideas!

You know, that's another great idea that I might just have to consider!
We'll probably be starting a big recruitment drive starting in October. We haven't been announcing a whole lot so far because we want to make sure we have a little bit of material up to share with people before we started jumping into the promo side of things full-force. That way, we have examples to share with people about what we do.
Yeah, the whole point of the group is essentially "an excuse to get together with friends online and make art". So many people get art block and don't know what to draw. Our goal is to get that little idea problem out of the way and start putting virtual pen to virtual paper and just start creating, because only through creation do you tend to break those kinds of artist blocks.
Also... though a lot of us are comic artists, the group is not just for comic artists. It's for pretty much any kind of artist interested in creating or sharing their work digitally.
