More Bronze Key. This is pretty much one of the climax scenes in the book, where the big bad Menugtf shows up and comes for the heroes. Bellatorix, the armored horse (yes, I changed his name to a masculine, his former name ws feminine) is also an Abnepos, of the long deceased War God. He leaps in the way to defend the others. I shan't say what befalls him. It's basically a clash between Old avatars versus New. Menugtf is friggin' huge in this; Bellatorix stands like ten or eleven feet at the head. (Not hands, 'cause he's not technically a horse.)

Orientating drawings remains my biggest challenge in illustration. It's so darn hard to find the right pose, fit it on the page, relate it to the other things in the picture while keeping size and perspective in mind, and not maje a hole in the paper from erasing so often. Bellatorix remains the most difficult character to date to draw, because of his damnable armor and the detail on it. I do like this piece decently enough; I was pleased with Menugtf's pose. She really looks like she's rising powerfully on her hind legs and getting ready to pound something.
