Frank.... Frank.... What is you eyesight? I want to know how you missed the obvious signs that Wayne did in fact meet your gorilla...

I thought he was just being a jerkass. He does that, you know.

Indeed it is. It's probably best just to err on the side of "being a jerk."

He must shop at Walmart. I swear, every other person I help there either can't read, is a master of missing the obvious, is half blind, or is just stupid.

To be honest the ones that honestly miss something don't irk me too much. It's the ones that walk into the department, stroll on up to you, and then begin with "Hi, I'm looking for ___"
No you're not. You're speaking to me. If you were looking for something, then we'd be speaking after you didn't find it. Or the ones that begin the item-inquiry by saying "How ya doin'?" then leap right into their spiel before you can reply. They're being incredibly rude and they don't even realize it.

Ah, then I'm safe. I try to do the whole walking through the aisle, trying to get a look at everything, then go find someone when I can't find it myself... But I usually ask a general location of the item first. "Do you know where I can find the ___?" Most stores in my city have multiple departments so I never know who to ask anyway...

we used to have our departments labeled on our name tags (or badges, whatever you want to call them) but then we all realized that most folk don't bother to read them anyway unless they're angry and want to file a complaint. We're pretty much roaming house plants to them unless they want something. I suggested we wear certain colored shirts for the various departments so there'd be less confusion over who is from where, but I was given the same reason as above as to why that wouldn't really be worth it.

When I look for help, I usually look for a nametag/badge so I don't accidentally ask another customer... Maybe big bold letters across the back of the shirts, like football jerseys have...

Then you're smarter (or at the very least more considerate) than most people that shop at Walmart. This is a good thing.

Not sure what is more troubling, Frank actually making a bullet proof silver back gorilla, Guy's reaction was to shoot the gorilla as well as having a shotgun handy, or how under prepared Wayne is for all of this.

Just consider who you're talking about. Consider one of her friends is Frank. Now, is it really that hard to believe?

Yeah, I was actually a bit surprised it wasn't some high tech gizmo with a nuclear symbol on the side, nor something that included the word "gatling". I guess she was feeling nostalgic and went old school.

...He asks for too much.
They're both more observant than me, though. I'd of probably just said "A big gorilla" - and that's if I didn't think it was some other primate. I'm all the time overlooking important details in everyday life, and then feeling stupid later when I make a fool of myself (...those things haunt me for years...). Though, there's been a few people who draw comics or write fiction who've said I'm observant.

Dear Frank
Why did you choose to make a silver back gorrila bullet proof and ten feet tall? There are many others types of apes, so I am wondering why that was your choice?
PS. Can I have one?
Sincerely yours
Chris White.
