I would say...two years. Even thought one can make pretty fast progress with vector graphics (try Inkscape if you are curious!), it still took me a while to grasp all the basics of illustration and comics. Still a beginner, still learning! ^^Β

I love the story and the artwork, faved and hope to see more.Β I really like stories that have Twilight as Spike's mother from her 'burst' of raw magic as if a dragon used their flame to hatch an egg.Β Β Due to her raw magic burst, Spike imprinted her as his mother, also why he is purple, and that his flame is magical.Β Spike also seems to enjoy pony food as a diet, and is generally better tempered.Β I have a feeling Celestia knows the truth behind this, but didn't want to overload young Twilight, that was going to go against Nightmare Moon eventually.Β Maybe she can be involved at some point?
