Thats a more "Interesting" way to look at the duo, at first thought, this doesn't seem like this could be a possibility. Though as I thought more about it, based off facts we know from the movie and maybe the shows, there seems like there is an actual possibility that Hiccup and Toothless could of had a relationship like this.
To start off, Hiccup is called hiccup, the name given to the runt of the litter in Viking tradition. Also from his constant attempts to kill a dragon that backfired most of the time. Added with his somewhat anti-social behavior. Hiccup was not really going to get a girlfriend. Even though Hiccup fancied Astrid, he knows that he wasn't ever going to get a date with her. Now Hiccup is now interring his teenage years, which means puberty and hormones which we know, can make us do more crazy or "interesting" things.
Now with Toothless, not as much at Hiccup but, As far as we know Toothless is the last Night Fury on Berk or really anywhere else that we know of. So given that, he hasn't been able to sate his drives is a good long time. This will also cause us to do more "interesting" things to sate this drive. Then given that he is not trapped on Berk and can't fly or go to any of the other without Hiccup, so they are stuck together now. Also with just about everything else on the island wanting to kill him if they discovered him, he had a very limited amount of friends. They do end up becoming very good friends that rather spend time with each other then other people, this is more the case with Hiccup.
With all this, there is a very good chance that both of them had a slight desire for it so they tried out once, then it sprouted into a more serious relationship between the two. This is not stone cold fact, this is mainly my speculation and thought backed by know facts from the movie. This is just my thought, like it or hate it as you please, just wrote this because it got me thinking how possibly or like this could be.
