Description

On their trip to the Isle of Dread, the Sea Wyvern and the Blue Nixie were separated due a violent storm. Nevertheless, le Sea Wyvern followed her trip south, everyone still expecting that the Blue Nixie have escaped a dreadful fate and got through the storm unharmed. A few days later, the Sea Wyvern got stuck in « Journey’s End » a malevolent huge sargasso where dozens of ships and sailors have rotted and died, prisoners of the monstrous green mass of algae. After a horrible night, attacked by humanoid shapes formed from rotting vegetation, the adventurers decided to find and destroy the cause of this trap. They traveled by foot on the thick mattress of algae to find the center of this evil. After a titanic battle against the Mother of All, they won the day and destroyed the monster who held the sargasso together. Unfortunately, the mass of algae unraveled faster than they could run to join back the ship and they sank in a thick molasses of rotted algae and sea water. As her companions soaked in the vegetal porridge in despair, Kyalani invoked a Tenser’s floating disk just to keep her safe as well as Fira, since they are not good swimmers. Liam is frolicking on the waves, enjoying the protection given by his Cloak of the Manta Ray. But as hope goes thin, the Sea Wyvern finally appears on the horizon !
An "Heirs and savage Tide" episode situated in the world og Greyhawk

I remeber being the DM for my group playing this adventure path back in the day. Was much fun.

Am currently being aplayer in another group and we're just battling 'The Mother'.

As a player who's character is a Sea Elf... ending up 'In the soup' probably won't be a bad thing.

Being able to really help my allies/game mates will be a great bonus.

much cheers.

Yeah, you are not the first to comment and have played this campaign as well. It's fun to see how memories from you guys surface again watching my own renditions. Thank you very much!

How would this look if Kyalani have not used his scroll of Tenser floating disk ? I wonder.

Ha!
There would have been less people on the picture and more at the bottom of the ocean! Don't you think ?

Oh, that's cool. And as always so many details that one always wonders how you come up with all the ideas.

I almost like the Ray the best, great pose and effects.

This is fantastic. Must be a great rpg.  Looks like the party is in the higher character levels.

With that board magically hovering over the water....I was thinking high-ish level.

In our Conan d20, the PCs start retiring around level 15ish, though some Players have kept their characters active into the low mid 20s.

I find most Players' PCs tend to get interested in their fiefdoms, guilds, mil, eco, etc... at higher levels. Conan d20 and House Rules allow for that macro-style playing, but it's not as conducive to group play.

DMing is a pain, at Epic Levels, and so I dont mind when they opt to retire to admin and governance after 15th-ish level or so.

I completely agree. Above 15th, it's really hard to DM correctly without forgetting this or that and risk messing the whole game.

Awesome work, man. Really great, tense moment. I know our heroes are in an odd predicament, but I can't help but marvel at the beauty of the sky and water. I suppose they at least have that going for them.

Excellent, comme d'habitude.. Là c'est le bain mensuel, je pense ? A part les deux qui flottent.
Par contre, dans mon monde je n'ai jamais vu de raie manta se prendre pour un dauphin, en tout cas j'adore la composition

Great image and a pretty familiar scene. ^^
Lucky them, when we played this, the adventurers had been accompanied by a certain, insufferable Meravanchi who proofed to be not only useless, but a hindrance uring the fight. To top it off, he got one single hit all fight and it was the killing blow. Painful as it might have been for their pride, it made the scene most memorable. It's still brought up frequently at the table. ^^

dungeonmeister In reply to Cederien [2019-06-03 06:12:13 +0000 UTC]

Avner Meravanchi? He's still around as insufferable as ever. You can see him on my previous render 'Renkrue" with his mustache. He already got a head punch from one of the girls, so he stays put...for the moment.
Thanks for this comment!!

Très belle scène encore une fois, dans l'alerte que j'ai reçu quand j'ai vu l'image en mini icone je pensais avoir affaire à une scène de vacance sur la plage!

J'adore les raie manta elle est très bien représenté.

A wonderful scene, not to mention excellent use of Tenser's floating disk on Kylani's part

And I'm really loving Kylani's outfit. I know it's something my own Cera Greyhawk: Cerathonil (a wood elf mage) would love to wear in hot weather
