Born in Quaalsten, Highfolk, Liam is the son of Rayan Kel'Igan, second ranger, from Ekbir and Gurlian Walthair, high priestess of Ehlonna, both heroes of the war against Iuz. He had a peaceful childhood before being forced to flee Highfolk during the city fire as a result of a tragic accident with Evrandil, Anariel's aunt.
