More to your liking than what? The others?

I believe you sent me a submission to look at that had hot colors. I like the cold colors on this piece compared to your other paintings.

oh ok. I see what you mean.

I like cold colors, but I like blood.

WHOAHH. Super! The aura/feelings are really well-done. Is there some kind of story behind this?

👍: 0 ⏩: 1

dustfae In reply to Xenelith [2010-01-26 04:34:56 +0000 UTC]

Not really a story. I did it in my painting class, it was really spur of the moment. It was maybe a 1-2 hours painting. I just really like the theme of icons becoming twisted from what we usually see. TO be painful, sexual, or just sensual in some way.

I do a bit of traditional art but this is fantastic! An exceptional piece of art.

Literature is what generally stirs my heart. The ink tattooing the surface of a sheet. The imagery contained in letters that can tell you worlds, and tears, and joys that you don't even know... all from the muscles in your hand.

what are some of your favorite books?

👍: 0 ⏩: 1

BassOvercast In reply to dustfae [2010-03-30 07:44:46 +0000 UTC]

Markus Zusak - The Book Thief
Marjorie Kinnan Rawlings - The Yearling
Colin Thiele - The Sun on the Stubble
Michael Meehan - The Salt of Broken Tears
Thomas H. Cook - Instruments of Night
JRR Tolkien - The Hobbit
Christopher Paolini - Inheritance Cycle (the Eragon books)
Jeffery Deaver - The Devil's Teardrop
Steven King - The Dark Half
Robert Ludlum - The Ambler Warning
Robert Ludlum - The Bourne Identity (I didn't really like the other two books of the trilogy or at least... not in the same way. They were good... but they didn't carry on the same level of... they weren't as unique.)
Bram Stoker - Dracula
Tom Clancy - Without Remorse
Jack Higgins - The Eagle Has Landed
Timothy Zahn - Thrawn Trilogy
Hans Christian Anderson - The Snow Queen
Frank E. Peretti - This Present Darkness
Albert Facey - A Fortunate Life
Raymond E. Feist - Magician

Just to name a few...

Thank you! I will definitely look into them when I have more time. The only ones I have read on your list are the Hobbit and The Snow Queen. I love the snow queen ^^

It is... the most beautiful of stories. I love it too. My favourite fairy tale of all time. Hans Christian Anderson's best piece of work.
