Your hair is so neat, possible not the most realistic, But Manga/Anime are a stylized art form anyway. I'm going to have to give this a shot. Very nice work.

Although I use a far completely different method in doing the hair shading per se, the principles that you have outline (i.e. following the line art, coloring the edges that are facing away from the light source) are something I agree on.
