Oh OK but still he looks more like a Spartan

Menelaus was a king of Mycenaean (pre-Dorian) Sparta, the husband of Helen of Troy, and a central figure in the Trojan War.

Besides, Spartans ARE Greek! Lmao

No offense, Simpsonsquire, but either way, Dywa is right.

Oh, finally some comparison in pictures. My brother and I 've talking about this moment in SW (-that many ideas are from our world, but from the past) lots of times, looking for real world influence. The Imperial red guards were of admiration to us both. When the blue Senate guards appeared, we were trying to connect the two with some Roman helmets and other historical cultures. Episode II showed, that at one time both of these existed during the Clone Wars.

In any case - nice catch about Troy.

The symbolism of this is great. It's a great juxtaposition of two legends, one ancient, one modern. It conveys a sense of pride, skill, and invokes the universally common thread of the larger-than-life mythos.

Needless to say, it's fantastic!
