Description Becaus it's never a good thing to be out of shape. I didn't know what to do, so I Drew the head of the popular Pterodactylus antiquus.
Well, not that bad. More or less.

Original size: 17cm x 9 cm

Coloured with Tria Markers, pencils and acrylics. Based on: great cormorant, common rooster.
References: Mike Hanson, Steve White.

On my blog too: ktboundary-smnt2000.blogspot.iā€¦

Enjoy it !

EDIT 2: actually the old one is worst. Re-uploaded the old image.

Ps: Sorry for the colours' quality. Bad scanner.

I see! It worked perfectly, and in fact it does seem so natural with the cormorant-esque nature of the animal

Awesome! Great work with the integument. The comorant-ness fits this little pterosaur much better than I would have thought.

Thank you! Well, I was a bit surprised too about this preliminary 'outfit'. And yes, I said preliminary. I have in mind another illustration which it'll see this little fellow again. Wait and see.

Great work! One of the best reconstructions of Pterodactylus I've seen lately.

I'll join you and Tom in your complains about scanners. Lately I have problems with mine too, and it's pain in the ass.

Don't tell me. Hey, is there somebody who knows if there is a good quality scanner out there?

That got to be one my favourite modern depiction of good ol' pterodactylus ! Very cormoran-like indeed.
Great job on this one !

Thank you! The main problem is that ol' stupid scanner of mine. There are more details in the picture, but that old machine just can't do its work properly.
By the way, thanks again
