Description
The completed character design commission for ! They asked me to design their ghost pokemon idea, and after some back and forth this is the design we came up with! The small one is Valkiwi, and its evolutionary form is Valkon. It’s an all-female pokemon species and the inspiration behind them are Valkyries (who escort the dead to the afterlife).
I had an absolute blast working on this; I don’t often get character design commissions, much less design commissions for fakemon, so this was such a fun and fresh breath of air. C:

Valkiwi (Ghost)
Valkiwi tends to be more aggressive than its small size would suggest. They are highly competitive, and will push themselves to be the first of their siblings to fly. The skull helmets they wear are provided by their mothers for their protection.
Valkon (Ghost/Flying)
Valkon have been seen soaring high above battlefields, and legends claim they carry the souls of the greatest warriors to the afterlife. People who make eye contact with one claim to feel as though they are being measured in some way. Valkon seems to have a strong sense of honor, and they quickly become angry at trainers they think are unworthy.
