Description
I was in a weird sketching mood and wanted to try something a little different, so have a Jake without a sweatshirt popping some buttons. And bad shading.Anyways,

Yup. It seems to always be through his own folly that your dragon encounters his problems, except in that maybe one or two drawings were he was eaten.

It's true, he creates his own obstacles and demons, and he doesn't learn from the consequences XD. And he might have annoyed something into eating him, so it still could be his fault XD

But the thing is, if Jake did learn, would there still be humorous art to post of him? There are not many people who look at the, "Human" aspects of vore, like dealing with digestion, hiding the stomach, or some of the other things that come with it. And that is what makes your art unique.

Certainly not, hence he never does get wiser XD. And I never saw vore as a joyride like a bunch of artists seem to. It's heavy, inconvenient, often uncomfortable among many other things. And it's fun to have a pred who understands the necessity of keeping that hidden, but isn't smart enough to hide it well. It's a great opportunity for humor, and it's odd no one else focuses on it as muchΒ

Well, Vore started out as mostly a fetish art, I think, and not many people think that pain is sexy. So, I think there are very few people who focus on the humor for that matter. I have seen people like Green-Glutton, or Rae-Thalis base one or two pieces off of the side effects of having to store a creature roughly your size on the front of your body (And if you have ever tried wearing your back-pack backwards, then you know who inconvenient that is).

That is true, and most people ignore reality altogether in the face of a fetish. But a lot of depictions of vore in cartoons is humorous, so the concept was around, but very few bothered with it. I've seen occasional works from those two and some others with humorous depictions or just a "vore is difficult" kind of subject. Vore has a ton of creative potential outside of being a sexualized fetish but very few do it (And I have done that with a backpack before so I know what you mean)

But, even with vore, I do occasionally wonder how a human-like boy can swallow and digest a living creature roughly his size without either splitting his throat, bursting his lap band, or tearing his rectum. While 'vore' can be used easily to display either humor or a fetish, there are a few holes in it that you would rather not have in your body.

Yeah, that's why I didn't make him human in the first place, because I could not wrap my head around it at all. And even so it feels ridiculous a lot of the time, even though I have pages upon pages of notes on how his anatomy allows that kind of thing. And then there's always the magic excuse too, which I try not to use, but I have to in some places. I mean, skin itself can only stretch so much before tearing, as well as muscles. And if bones got struck the right way it'd be easy to snap a predator's neck. And clothes. Eating polymer fabrics can kill you. Thankfully it's a fantasy, but still XD

Wow. I am glad that there are loopholes to escaping a predator, as you have explained, but you are right. Jake is not human. He is a dragon, and therefore a reptile. Most reptiles have stretchy skin specifically to swallow their prey hole, well, minus alligators and other creatures of that family. Otherwise, there are always other aspects that would ruin a predators chances. Spikes, that would tear the esophagus, bones, which would build gas until the whole body exploded, or many other various body defenses that would create challenges for the process of vore.

Depends on the mythos whether dragon are reptiles or some other class of taxa, but I won't start that argument here (pointless because they don't exist). And even so Jake's skin would not be able to realistically stretch at his maximum capacity, or even approaching it. Even a snake would burst at that point. And anything sharp could puncture the esophagus and stomach, and possible even the intestines. Claws from a still-living creature would wreak havoc as well, no doubt. I could see a predator possibly evolving some method to deal with the bones issue like snakes do. But there are so many holes in vore that it is impossible to fill them all. So I can really only go for semi-realism and pick and choose which ones to fill.
