Weapons:
Stormedge Sword - Chaern wields a sword forged from a precious metal that fell from the skies in his homeland. The sword design is unique to a fighting style learnt only in his clan. It resembles like staff fighting more than sword fighting.

Clothing: Leather wearer. Often unarmoured but will wear leather into certain battles. Also will wear warmer during winter.

Demeanour: Silent and brooding

Occupation: Hunter and labourer

Chaern is one of the last children of a clan that has all but been destroyed. Once upon a time, the thriving clan were a nation to themselves and developed a great and deep culture. However, they were destroyed by the raiding Mongols.

The precious few who survived became a small clan of mercenaries, renting their services to the highest bidder. Chaern always felt that this was a demeaning life for once mighty warriors. He ran away from the clan and forsook his oaths to stay within it to protect it in order to find a more honourable life. In his ventures he bumped into Tori and learning of the SDL, joined her to find honour in battle.

Chaern's clan developed a weapon they claimed to be the ultimate - combining the mightiest aspects of the four master weapons; the straight sword, the staff, the spear and the broadsword. They whirl the weapon around defensively and lash out in sudden wide arcs, dealing devastating blows. The heavenly metal they forge their weapons from is stronger than any steel, but now has all but been used up.

In the culture of the clan, each warrior is given an aspect. Chaern grew up to be a hunter and so was given the title of bearwolf. This he bears proudly still, and will don the wolf cap in battle.

Chaern for now helps Tori with the day to day living. Quietly observing the great many warriors of SDL and learning all he can. Soon he will join the fray of warriors competing in the arenas. His fear though is that once he does so his clan will learn of his whereabouts and the clan may not forgive him his crime.
