I love the ancient minimalism you manage to achieve...of ages long past but still with traces of visible memory.
This feeling applies to all of your work, and I say it time and again.
Do you have your collages on exhibit anywhere?

They are just sitting here and lately I've given some away. I have never done the submit thing and one reason is I'm a coward and the other is I never did an artist statement or a bio. I recently got a request for submission to a literary magazine , need a bio. Β I have been in two exhibits one was with a friend the other was a request from the curator. I am so terribly introverted and I have no clue how people even find out about these things. It makes me happy that you see them in the way you do, that is what I feel. If i write a statement may I borrow your words?

I think we donΒ΄t work like Michelangelo spending weeks or months for a painting, we express our feelings instantly before vanishing...

I saw the title then viewed the picture and immediate thought about the 'Titanic', which interested me enough to want to share the reaction with you.

Interesting, when I work my feelings are centered around the failings of mankind. all the civilizations that are now gone and the general destruction of the planet . Little worlds where the fragments of those civilizations go.

I love this, Diane. The way you spread out the composition, and work your scraps into the medium, is just super.
