This is a birthday prezzie for *Oracle88
I hope you had a great one and like this
I'm starting to do more ocean scenes than before and I really enjoy them (even though they take about 8 hours). I'm heavily influenced by one of my favourite artists, Christian Riese Lassen and would like to aim for his level. Miricales can happen right? I'm only 14, but I always expect so much from my artwork. I'm not sure if thats a good thing though >_<

wow !!! very nice!! i love the anatomy of the fish and the detail on the ocean floor, the orcas are nice ly done but i feel you should practice on their anatomy try to find pics of orcas in the position you painted them it will help. the place where underwater begins looks a bit abrupt and cut off, maybe you should smooth it out or blur it a bit ? i hope this helped !!! its a great artwork overall !! KEEP IT UP !!

I agree with 's comment about creating a gradient in the water. One thing that stands out to me are the orcas shadows, they seem misplaced and set farther back then where the orcas actually are. Their shadows should be closer to the foreground-for example, over or in front of the rocks.

About the shadows... The light source was supposed to be coming from the left hand side of the picture. I should have made it more obvious by highlighting the rocks and fish.. Thankyou!

You should know that when it comes to it being realistic, you've already surpassed many artists who's one, two, three, heck even six years older than you!
