Description
This animal inhabits shallow coastal waters which can be along sandbars, alcoves, lagoons, atolls, and especially tide pools. The water they tolerate is from warm temperate to tropical, as they do not tolerate the cold very well. undersea greenery is preferred since this animal is an omnivore and suppluments its diet with soft algaes and seaweeds {including kelp.} azurellas are pursuit predators when not feeding on seaweed and algae, capturing food by grasping onto its prey with its facial tentacles and bringing it to its beaked mouth. they are very quick and agile, more at home in the water than onshore. These animals, who are in no way related to mammals, still possess a womb and give live birth to their offspring, which can be up to six per litter. Their babies are very small and spend time riding on their father's back or tail by gripping onto the fur. Females will choose males that have fluffier coats due to this. They both display parental care to their offpsring and will teach them how to hunt and what seaweeds are safe to eat. Once pups reach adulthood they strike out on their own to find a mate and start their own family. azurella males and females show some sexual dimorphism, where the males possess flashy pale fur around their necks and across their paddle shaped tail. their blue coloration helps them blend into the tropical blue waters, making it harder for prey to spot them. They are capable of being up on land with movements like a clumsy otter, but they prefer to swim. Continent: statin vitae coasts
