Been working on this for the last month, most of which was just in the last few days (curse you work for taking up my time! *shakes fist*).

The Goddess of Dreams, Aisling; the ninth Immortal who bestowed Life to the world of Hyacinth by shattering Her soul. She is perhaps one of the most revered by the mortals, for without Her power, no creature would exist, no memory would be written, and no dream could be lived. She is kind and forgiving, seeking only peace and cultivating a paradise world. But here She is sorrowful as She looks to the land broken by the War led by Her fellow Immortals. Or does Her sorrow stem from darker roots than this?

It feels really nice at last finishing a proper illustration of just Aisling (she's one of the hardest characters to draw, I find, probably because of her importance), considering the book's named after her and all. Her reincarnated form is Kari, who has to live with the reputation of the Goddess (both good and bad). The last drawing in this style had more colour to it, but this time I wanted to reduce that to more neutral brown tones for an ancient feel, while still having the Goddess' colours be prominent. Lots of layers were required!
