I've never seen one that dark.  It must be a western bird thing.  She's got that same curious look as the two Red Tail boys whose enclosure I clean.

They think she is a cross between a western and a Harlan's Red Tail. She still had a lot of her juvenile feathers in this photo. I can't wait to see her in her adult plumage.
