Here's LuVeilious and Virgil max in' n relaxin' on the edge of a building. Two characters with great power showing off their (kinda) down to earth side. This was my half of a wonderful art trade with and the lovely LuVeilious is his character.Check out his awesome half!

Haha! Thank you so much! I'm glad people are liking the covert silliness of this drawing. Though he goes through some tough trials along his journey, I really want to show off that Virgil is a relatively light-hearted dude. It still hurts to see that the bunny ears is a dying gag these days, but hey.... we'll bring it back eventually!

Bunny Ears as a joke is one of the most childish things out there so I knew it would show of that kid-ish side to both of them. I feel like it isn't being done anymore these days, though, which is kind of a bummer...

The words are "TIE PLANTE" (other guy in this trade) and along the rooftop are little structures in the shape of LuVeilious' sword.

D'oh my goodness, this is so silly and cute! At first, when I saw the thumbnail in my Notifications, it looked like such a casual scene, they were just chillin'. And then I saw the full pictureβVirgil's sly expression, where his hand is (both placesβI have such a dirty mind, I'm sorry too.Β XD) and I just died. It's so funny! And I don't wanna laugh because LuVeilious looks so sweet and timid there, and she has no idea. It reminds me of a playground moment, and it's just adorable and fun.
And holy heck, that background is awesome! You've gotten so good at complex backgrounds. I like the perspective, and how you went for all those details on the buildings, like bricks and the line-work for windows. Kudos for tackling architecture with that much symmetry. Great job!!

Thanks! Backgrounds are still a killer and my straight edge is not living up to it's name, but I'm pretty happy how this came out. I'm getting more practice with them in my actual comic, so everything is working out A-ok!

Nah, I think we literally just have dirty minds. 
You're welcome. Yeah, I think I have an allergic reaction to rulers and straight edges, because I avoid them like the plague. Any time I need to do something architectural I often cringe and chicken out. It's honestly not as easy to use a ruler as one might imagine. Sure, anywhere you lay it the thing will give you a straight line. But making that line parallel evenly to the paper's edges takes a lot of measuring. And I'm one of those "ain't nobody got time for that" kinda artists. My bad.
But really, this one is awesome! The details alone are something to be proud of, and I love how you're not afraid to do an entire city background. My hat's off to you, sir. Keep on amazing me, please.

At some point, your laziness genes kick in and let you find ways to make things look straight without the use of a ruler (For example: Camera tilting ). If you can get by doing the least possible work (/headaches) and still have a really nice drawing, I think that's a victory. Thanks for the compliments! I'll strive to keep my style as sharp as my pencil!

That's the wisdom of a sage if I ever heard it. It would be neat to see what happens if you take the biggest artists around here and force them to show off their weaknesses. Imagine what kind of mayhem that would cause. Strong, muscly warriors with teeny-tiny feet. Handsome men with big flappy ears. Gorgeous women with crooked fingers...
It's a good thing most people learn how to hide that stuff cause holy crap is it ever frustrating.

It's a joy for me to hear that! This was loads of fun to do! There were actually two other rough drafts I did with different angles and poses but I scrapped them and went for one that was much more simple. There's a little bubbliness to LuV that was really fun to try and capture, by the way. You have a great OC and I'm happy I got a chance to draw her!
