Description
This is an often photographed island in the Yukon Territory. I think it's easy to determine why: It's right by the road, the autumn colours are fantastic and it makes a great subject in the rest of the vast landscape. In this case I just missed the best light by seconds. There was a light beam literally just hitting the coloured parts of the island, which enhanced the colours by a lot. Oh well, you can't have everything, this is still beautiful imho.

Dem Datum nach gehörte diese Landschaft ja zu euren ersten Eindrücken der Natur in BC - und ich kann mir bei Betrachtung dieses Bildes gut vorstellen, welche Begeisterung das Erlebnis dieser Landschaft damals bei dir ausgelöst hat. Dass die Begeisterung auch fast eineinhalb Jahre nach diesem Abschnitt der Reise immer noch nicht nachgelassen hat, spricht für diese grandiose Natur und deinen sehr guten Geschmack.
