Something different for a change.Every so often my wife asks me to take a break from commission and comics to do something different and challenge myself. Things like this are the result.
This is closer to a painting than probably anything else I've done. Painting in Photoshop is not too different from regular painting. All the concepts are the same but photoshop lets you do a lot of things to make it much easier. This took me a long time; maybe thirty hours or more. Hope you like it.

No, not from a book or movie. Many of both have had similar creatures which is why I think it is pleasing.

Amazing, clearly something you can't just sketch together, but only with painting things. This was done with Photoshop alone?
I must say, you are not only a great anthro artist, but you got some talent in non-anthro things, like this piece of art.

We all need destractions sometimes, else we become sick of the same ol' same ol', and no one wants to hate what they love doing. So consider it a type of refresher for your imagination, while helping you realize how much your work means to you that you hate the destraction for it.
