Here's Master Blaster. I sometimes regret naming him that for all the "Beyond Thunderdome" quotes but it fits what he does so well.Concept? I'll put it simply. Imagine Tony Stark AKA Iron Man if he lost everything and his only available path to reclaim the level of wealth and power he was used to was to become a villain. Master Blaster is an evil Iron Man.
Master Blaster is also perhaps one of the most potentially destructive of all the villains. He can simply do a tremendous amount of damage to a wide area and is respected by the other villains because of thi.
He is also the only Avian character on either team. I've had some birds show up in the background but he's the only character so far. His costume was supposed to be of patriotic colors as it was built for the military but he stole it and has not bothered to alter the paint job as a further middle finger to those that he feels have wronged him.

I could see a rivalry between MB and Cancer. I could imagine the two competing as to who has the superior mechanical knowledge and intelligence in future missions.

Master Blaster can also be compared to - Vindicator or Guardian of Alpha Flight. In his origin were the seeds of his destruction (AF #10). His ravaged suit's power pack exploded, incinerating him utterly, after his battle with his foe, in which the villain also died. His widow became the new Guardian ...

I never read alpha flight much. their roster changed so often but I did wonder how guardian went from male to female suddenly.

Uh-oh, M the Magnificent won't be able to copy HIS power. It's technological not innate you see. Like Atom or Hawkman. Or Green Lantern. Or Green Arrow. Two of more tech-powered heroes or villains attacking from different angles - the fight is over before you can say "woof !". M will have either fled or be knocked out cold !
Only chance, is for him to still have a power copied from another super, and he'll have ten minutes at the most before it goes out. Copied powers last only as long as the sourse of the power is still on hand, and for ten minutes after he or she has left.

Iron Man/Tony has basically been turned into a total fascist in the Marvel-616 'verse. Worse is the idea that we're supposed to agree with him over doing things like 'outing' Spider-Man's secret ID (leading to Aunt May getting shot, leading in turn to the mess that is One More Day) and making a Thor-bot that killed Giant-Man.

So, what was the ingenius inspiration behind the villainous businessman? I must admit it's interesting to see an anthro that's so highly praised by American society used as a character for villainy. Quite a refreshing sight, I'll admit, very revolutionary.

Well, I drew him a long time ago in a small sketch fighting Aries (it's not on DA) where his blasts were powerful enough to knock down buildings but Aries just kept coming at him. It had no color, just my default power armor and big gauntlets.
after that, I drew some Zodiac villains (that is found in my gallery) and the colors I used for him were red, white and blue which got me thinking he looked kind of patriotic which was odd for a villain. He was supposed to be a dog in that picture but I later realized I already had a lot of canines spread around so I changed him to the eagle to be even more patriotic looking. The dichotomy was good between someone that should have been a hero but wasn't and it all kind of blossomed out from there.

Is it just me, or is Iron Man's franchise just getting more popular these days? Master Blaster looks nice and the colors are unique for a super villain, having expected something else.
Either way, I like him a lot. You don't see much villains or heroes using power suits/armors these days.

Iron Man has gotten much more popular since the first movie was so successful. It's still one of my favorites.
The power suit super has never been really common though there has always been at least one main one. Sometimes the character is just a robot.
