So yep! Day one of my own 31-day-drawing-challenge. |D (Journal: [link] )
Though for this one I slightly cheated.. Though the theme was random, the character was not. I had even before making, heck, before even thinking about making the challenge, that I would draw Rennei first. Because I've not drawn him in ages. And I'm in booting-danger from Armonia if I won't draw something for the group before the 25th. |D
BUT NOW I DID! YAY! I should draw him more. But you knooow. So much other stufff. Should prolly cut down the amount of groups I am in still. But they're all so much fun even if they're killing me. ;A; I wonder if this is enough to get me away from 'under the boot'.. o^o

The original sketch for this thoug is a pretty old one, from last year. I just never got around to finishing it.. And when this theme came up, well, I just thought why make a new sketch if I already have one, eh? :U Two birds with one stone. |'3 The original sketch actually was drawn in one of my Finnish class handouts.. And it was like.. 5cm tall. So it was painful to try to make some sense of it, even if the scanner did make it a lot larger. :'D But I did it~. The file is still pretty small and kinda pixelated (Why does EVERYTHING I draw of Rennei end up being too small? It's the details, I tell ye. :T No size is big enough for the harness and belt-things.)

... And how did drawing this take me like 7 hours. EVEN if the sketch was already done beforehand! Geeze, I must be rusty.. From having that drawing-hiatus.. Oh weeeell, hopefully I'll get faster as I progress this challenge. *Siiigh* And it might have something to do with the fact I so rarely draw chibis. Nooot exactly my strong point. |D But they're so cute I just can't stop trying to get them right!
Random background is random by the waaay. It's already almost 2am, so I'm a bit too derpy to draw anything more complex. :U *Just dances around throwing rose petals like a random sleepy mongrel*

So yeaaaah. That's how this challenge starts. VuV I wonder what I'll do for tomorrow's one.. Gotta read-up on the medieval fashion again, I guess. x'3
