You should avoid though, to dug in too deep into this feeling. Incredible how few pictures we took at the time. When you were rich you probably took like 3 or 4 rolls of 36 pictures each on a little journey of maybe two weeks.

Correct on all counts... I remember shooting with film, so sparingly! And then the hassle of having it developed and printed. We made a trip to Ireland in 2005, took our first (no... I think second, but much better than the first) digital camera along, and were still shooting with something of a film mentality... but still ended with more pictures than if we'd been shooting film.

Well, developing and such - I didn't find it too much of a hassle then.
When I did slides I always used Kodachrome and I was always very 
For black and whites I was allowed to use the well equipped department lab. Good thing also was, that the photo technician did the somewhat boring development of the film (complete kindness) and I could focus on the fun of making prints
