On Discworld, everyone has an hourglass measuring the time of his/her life. When the sand ends, so does one´s life. But it doesn´t have to apply to everybody, especially if you belong "to the family". Susan, the Duchess of Stohelit, is Death´s grand-daughter and she can use time at her will...Unique wire-wrapped pendant made of sterling silver, amber sand and citrine. Totally handmade. The sand is only decorative, it does not measure time!

I've been searching for a necklace like this for a long time now... I would like to encase the ashes of a loved one in it. Do you make any pieces that could possibly be used for such a purpose ?

Hello, yes, it would be possible to put ashes into the hourglass part, although not much (it´s not that big). I never did it before, I always made my own sand, but using ashes shouldn´t be a problem. I do mainly custom orders, so we can design a piece that would suit your style and needs.

I don't need it to fit all of the ashes just a small amount. And I was also wandering about how much $ am I looking at? I can't afford much... It is for my daughter she was supposed to receive some of her Uncle's ashes in a necklace after he passed but after all of the arrangements were made and the hospice bill was paid ,his wife was completely broke so she wasn't able to order the necklace for her.

It depends on the design, but this one was about 500$. It won´t be lower than 400$, I´m afraid - the making is quite time consuming.
