Day 28 of Sketchtember, sketch #20As a theme I'm sketching young Japanese people modelling their street fashion, photographed for Japanese magazine "FRUiTS Magazine".
This is a great opportunity for me to train myself more, for instance:
*Draw on a daily basis, instead of whenever...
*Dusting off my skills when it comes to observational drawing.
*Increasing my drawing speed.
This trendy couple clearly shares the same point of fashion:
The faces are maybe not entirely accurate but I was too tired to do anymore about it. Still, it was fun and rather easy to draw.
Two days remain of this challenge!

That hair is truly amazing and I can't imagine how much time he needs to get it to behave that way. I'm very lazy when it comes to doing my own hair: just brush it and if it's still not good, tie it into a ponytail...

Oh wow, that look was so popular! Yep, Vanilla Ice was definitely one of the culprits, but I also remember the characters Dylan and Brendan from Beverly Hills 90210 sporting the same hairdo.
Always nice to see those embarrassing pictures of our childhood.

It's a cow-inspired coordinated clothes couple.
I just discovered this adorable Japanese couple who have been married for 37 years and wear matching outfits every day. They even have a Instagram page showcasing their outfit of the day. Not as zany as these young people but it's very cute.

Thank you. My husband says I put much more work into my details than is needed for a sketch. The running gag this month is that he looks over my shoulder and calmly states "You did it again. That's not a sketch, that's a drawing..."
