YES! I've got my painting mojo back, and I'm really happy about it.
This started as me screwing around with a technique I like, applying some things I learned recently, and just generally experimenting... and it got away from me. So yeah, this is going in the ol' portfolio. Whee!Oh, and there's a Deadstream on the way for this.
Total time was about 5 hours, give or take. 
[EDIT] Embiggened her left foot. Much better.

Wow! I can tell you tried something different because this looks better than your usual style. I have to say I really like it.
That pose is awesome and as always I am highly impressed with the little details.
The only thing that bothers me is her left foot (the one on her pants). It looks shorter than it should be, but perhaps that is just the angle and perspective.
There are a few artists on DA that absolutely floor me when I see them post. I happy to say that you are one of them.

Hmm... you're right about the foot. The warp tool will help me sort that out.

Yeah man, this technique focuses MOSTLY on shading, then dropping color in on top of it. I like the results it produced.

Oh man andy i think this has got to be the best you've done. The face looks great! It looks different than your normal faces you do and it was the first thing that struck me. The second is the hands. They are fantastic and proportionate and look like she's actually griping the poll instead of just existing in the same area.
Her pose is dynamic and fluid and i very much dig it.
Also i'm super jeleous of your painting style. Can i be your padawan learner? lol
