(Belated) Post-A-Thing-A-Day Month, Day 24!

Today we have possibly my OTP to end all OTPs, Alanna and George from the Song of the Lioness Quartet. I shipped them pretty much from the moment they appeared on-page together when I first read the books at age... 12? Just in case you are doubting how perf these two are, here is a snippet (mild spoilers for those of you who are concerned but, really, this book has been out since 1988):

Rising, George pulled Alanna into his arms. "So I finally tamed myself a Lioness," he whispered when they broke their kiss.
Alanna laughed. "I wouldn't call it tamed, laddy-me-love. The lady of Pirate's Swoop shouldn't be tame."
George grinned. "Particularly not when she's King's Champion to boot. That's all right then." He picked her up for another kiss.
