Description The page considering FΓ«anor and his descendants from the Encyclopaedia of Ardan Heraldry.

The symbol at the top is FΓ«anor's (design done by Tolkien), and the set at the bottom are his descendants (all designed by me). On the top row, left to right, are Maglor, Maedhros and Caranthir. Second row - Curufin and Celegorm. Bottom row - Amras, Celebrimbor (Curufin's son), Amrod.

Hello, would you allow me to use your design for a cosplay I'm working on? I would of course name you.

And this is exactly the reason why I introduced "Arda-digestion" to biology instead of the proper "ARDRA-digestion" I just read arda so much more often. A nice piece. I like how you used the appropriate colours, yet didn't make it too gaudy to look at  Nice work.

gosh - ARDRA! That's a term I haven't heard for a few years! Well, since university I guess - sometimes I miss complicated biological names ... *sniff*

Well I did it just a week ago. SO at the moment I'm able to type both.

BTW I've got a deer for tea today

I like the similarity between the devices of Feanor's descendants well done, and I like how you managed to get no two to be the same. Wonderful.

Wow very nice! Love the colours you've chosen. Love the Celtic-esque feel it has too. It I also like the way you did the "n" in Feanor Lovely!

Now the Fire Spirit as well

Do you know maybe where people took a mark of Maedhros from? The one which looks like a tengwar script. Hmmm, perhaps it was just his name... I have no link to show you an example, except one a bit freaky (someone cut it on his arm ).

elegaer In reply to Sirielle [2005-04-23 10:19:51 +0000 UTC]

Oooooooh I'm not sure I know what you mean - go on, show me the freaky one

Sirielle In reply to elegaer [2005-04-24 22:25:39 +0000 UTC]

To see it you must be logged in to Live Journal, other case you'll see only 'Forbidden 403' and getting to gallery only one picture inside 'body art', not the one I link to. [link] Let me know if it works.
Perhaps better if I copy the sign somewhere and put in my scrups for a while so you might see it...

elegaer In reply to Sirielle [2005-04-29 12:52:04 +0000 UTC]

Ohhhhh - um - I don't think I'd do that to myself!!!! But yes, I think its just the Tengwar for "m" - I dont' know of any official sign for Maedhros ....

πŸ‘: 0 ⏩: 1

Sirielle In reply to elegaer [2005-05-05 23:16:48 +0000 UTC]

I would not, too. Uh, but the device of FΓ«anor done with cutting was more terrible.

So there was no record of special sign of Maedhros.

I think cutting oneself for art is just creepy and terrible! Ew! Even if it's Tolkien related, still eew!

These designs are all so beautiful, I love them! I like the way they all have distinct similarities because they're all related to each other, and the colour scheme. Did you just use normal coloured pencils for this?

Yup, the one spider I deem more terrifying than Shelob. Imagine me, being an arachnaphobe watching the Return of the King in the cinema...
