I'm heading slightly out of canon here. Elmo isn't mentioned in LotR or The Sil - so why is he important? Because in UT and HoME, Tolkien suggests that his grandson was Celeborn, husband to Galadriel. Rather than try and rewrite it, here's the basics of the family taken from one of my articles at CoE:
In nearly every version, Celeborn was the son or grandson of Elwë and Olwë's brother Elmo. Elmo's son was most often named Galadhon, and he then had two sons - Celeborn and Galathil. Galathil was then the father of Nimloth, who married Dior and was the mother of Elwing. In this version, he was related to Galadriel, the grand-daughter of Olwë, but only distantly.
So ... here we have Elmo in the top right, his design similar to those of his brothers Elwë and Olwë, and then his wife in the top left. She remains unnamed. In the bottom left is Galadhon, with his wife beneath him. In the bottom right are Galathil and his wife Nimloth.

Bottom middle are Celeborn and Galadriel. I gave Celeborn a cool symbol, because he's cool. No, really, he is. His design is based on a tree, echoing the meaning of his name (silver tree / silver tall). And I created a different design for Galadriel than her original one on Finarfin's page, because Galadriel the Noldo rebel is so different from Galadriel, Lady of Lórien. This one has a ring emphasised, as well as the greens for Lórien, though it contains the light blues from her original design.
