Description
The Jaegerwock is a terrifying monstrosity, specimens rarely measure below a hundred feet in length, with a wingspan almost twice that. Though it looks awkward, the creature is in fact frighteningly agile for its immense size, and can be eerily silent if it needs to be. The Jaegerwock's primary weapons are its immense claws, capable of tearing heavy armor apart with ease, and its razor sharp fangs. It can unhinge its jaw, opening its mouth almost 180 degrees, in order to rip huge gashes in walls and other structures. Thankfully, Jaegerwocks are rather rare, and are almost always solitary.
Reports from soldiers in the Great War record immense Jaegerwocks following armies, sometimes circling above, other times simply watching from a nearby vantage point. The beasts would then converge on a routed or weakened force after battles like monstrous vultures, taking advantage of the army's weakness to deliver massive casualties.
One of the most famous cases of a Jaegerwock attack involves the legendary huntsman Saffron Georges, who managed to slay a particularly large individual while only a second year student at Atlas Academy. Though tales that say that he won the fight with only a single stroke are almost certainly exaggerated, it remains an impressive feat nonetheless.

Author/Artist's note: I felt that the standard "dragon grimm" felt a bit too cliche for my tastes, so I decided on something a bit more original. Obviously based on Lewis Carroll's Jabberwock, the Jaegerwock also takes inspiration from therapod dinosaurs, specifically Carnotaurus and Therizinosaurus.
