Fall is back.I love fall.
As usual when I don't get any ideas for drawings, I do self portraits... Even though I don't think it really looks anything like me on this. But hey, whatever. Although my hair definitely are growing, pretty much as long as that girl when I straighten them... I should go get a real haircut though, they look messy.
I took a walk tonight, I got the mood out of it. It's getting windy down here, just near the St-Laurent river. It was beautiful with the very dramatic looking sky, tons of clouds on a very dark sky...

Very beautiful, very deep. I love the stature/pose it reminds me of the fetal position but a more submissive state.

I have the same with self-portraits, looking at yourself from some distance I dunno .. I got it anyway.

I can't wait until it starts cooling down here, fall and winter are my favorite. 
Looking at this makes me feel cold, and isolated. At the same time it's somehow comforting. Sort of like I'm dreaming.
I really love the shading, and the pose, but most of all the emotion.

I couldn't say about comforting, it's pretty much the lack of it that pushed me to draw something, this time. I agree though, there is some kind of ...serenity but not quite, something like a submission of some sort to the feeling I had. For once, I tried to let go completely, like I wouldn't fight against it... It felt like being in high school again. But thank you for you comment...

I see what you're saying. To be honest, I think comforting isn't really the right word to describe what I feel when I look at it. I just can pinpoint what it is.

I love the fall, too. The colors make for amazing pictures, and you can get all bundled up without it being too freezing cold. There's nothing like a long walk through the trees in the fall.
The idea to do self portraits when you have nothing to draw is actually pretty good..I think I might try that, seeing as how I've had nothing come to mind lately.

The pose and what little you can see of the expression is absolutely beautiful. I love all the details you manage to fit into a piece. And for some reason the design in the cigarette smoke really catches my eye. I love the outfit, too. :] Wonderful job.

Yeah, I've tried to do them less often in the last months, so I could do deeper stuff and kind of work with my imagination... But self portraits are fun.
